Laser machines compatible with RapiLaser
RapiLaser controls diode lasers running GRBL 1.1 firmware or firmware compatible with GRBL (such as grblHAL, Ortur's OLF or MKS DLC32 boards). That is what most engravers sold online use. Here, brand by brand, are the models that use GRBL according to their manufacturer or its documentation, and also the ones that do not work.
Before you buy, what you need to know:
- The connection is always over a USB cable. No WiFi, network or Bluetooth.
- It works in Chrome or Edge on a computer, and in Chrome on Android with a data OTG cable. Firefox and Safari do not work.
- On iPhone and iPad the machine cannot be connected.
- Newer xTool models and LaserPecker do not work: they use a closed protocol.
- RapiLaser does not control CO2 machines with a Ruida or DSP controller, nor galvo or fiber lasers.
How to read this list
- A model with no tag uses GRBL or compatible firmware according to its manufacturer's documentation.
- Tested means we connected it and engraved with it ourselves.
- Verify means it depends on the firmware your unit ships with, or there is only indirect evidence. Confirm it with the diagnostic before paying.
The diagnostic is public and free: no account and no code. It connects to your machine over USB and, under "Identification", tells you its firmware family (GRBL 1.1, Ortur OLF, grblHAL or FluidNC). If it identifies the machine, RapiLaser can talk to it.

For these models Atomstack publishes its firmware, LaserGRBL and the CH340 driver. The A70 Pro answers GRBL 1.1h. The M4 (marking machine), the Atelier AI (galvo) and the Hurricane (CO2) are not GRBL diode lasers.
Sculpfun

The S6 and early S9 run GRBL 1.1h; the S10 and S30 use an MKS DLC32 board with GRBL-compatible firmware. All with a CH340 chip. The G9, G20, V5 and V12 (they use their own software) and the A9 Ultra (fiber) do not use GRBL.
Ortur and Aufero
- Laser Master 2 S2 and Laser Master 2 Pro S2 (OLF firmware, based on GRBL)
- H10 and H20
- Aufero Laser 1 and Aufero Laser 2 (Aufero is Ortur's brand)
- Laser Master 3 and Laser Master 3 LE (grblHAL) Verify
RapiLaser recognizes Ortur's OLF firmware and grblHAL, but we have not tested it with an Ortur in person yet.
Creality Falcon
- CR-Laser Falcon 5W and 10W, and Falcon Pro 10W
- Falcon2 12W, 22W and 40W
- Falcon A1 and Falcon A1 Pro (modified GRBL) Verify
Creality's manual says to control these machines over USB-C with LaserGRBL or LightBurn. The Falcon2 Pro, Falcon2 Pro S and A1C are to be confirmed. The Falcon T1 is a galvo and is not compatible.
TwoTrees
- TTS-55 Pro and TTS-10 Pro
- TS2 (MKS DLC32 board) and TS3
- Totem S
TwoTrees says to install the CH340 driver and choose GRBL.
Longer
- Ray5 5W, 10W, 20W and 30W
- B1 20W, 30W and 40W
The Longer Nano and Nano Pro are galvo machines: RapiLaser is not made for galvo.
NEJE
- Master 2S, Master 2S Max, Master 3 Max and Max 4 Verify
NEJE says its 2, 3, 4 and 5 series run GRBL, but some units first need NEJE's GRBL firmware at 115200 baud.

- Comgrow Z1 (32-bit board with GRBL-based firmware, CH340 chip)
Snapmaker
- Snapmaker Ray 20W and 40W
The Snapmaker 2.0 and Artisan run Marlin, not GRBL, and are not compatible.

Some units ship with Benbox firmware and have to be switched to GRBL.
MKS DLC32 board
Many generic machines use the MKS DLC32 board with its GRBL-compatible firmware: those work just like the branded ones. If your board was reflashed to FluidNC, it speaks the same protocol but it is a different firmware Verify.
To be confirmed: verify with the diagnostic
For these there are signs that they use GRBL, but we could not confirm it, or it depends on each unit's firmware. We do not advertise them as compatible: test them with the diagnostic.
Wainlux
JL1 and JL3, only with the GRBL 1.1f firmware Wainlux provides on request (you lose WiFi and homing). JL7 and K10, to be confirmed. The K6 uses its own protocol and is not compatible.
Creality Falcon2 Pro and Falcon A1C
Falcon2 Pro (22W, 40W and 60W), Falcon2 Pro S and Falcon A1C.
WeCreat
Vision, Vision Pro and Vista: they use a modified variant of GRBL.
VEVOR
Its diode engravers are built by different suppliers: they have to be confirmed model by model.
Kentoktool
LE400 Pro.
HTPOW
Its diode engravers.
Mr Carve
M3, depending on the firmware it ships with. The M1 is a fiber laser and is not compatible.
Not compatible
xTool
Not compatible M1, M1 Ultra, F1, F1 Ultra, F1 Lite, F2, F2 Ultra, P2S and P3: they use closed protocols, or they are galvo or CO2 machines. The D1, D1 Pro and S1 have a GRBL compatibility layer but lock the machine's settings; we do not advertise them. If you own one, the diagnostic tells you whether it responds.
LaserPecker
Not compatible LP1, LP2, LP3, LP4, LP5 and LX: they are controlled from their app or they are galvo machines.
CO2 machines with Ruida or DSP
Not compatible RapiLaser does not control CO2 lasers, such as Monport's, with a Ruida or DSP controller.
Galvo and fiber lasers
Not compatible Gweike G2 and G3, Mr Carve M1, Voiern, Longer Nano, Creality Falcon T1 and other galvo or fiber machines.
Others
Not compatible Glowforge (cloud-based system), Bambu Lab H2D with its laser module (no USB connection for other software) and Snapmaker 2.0 and Artisan (Marlin). Kits with Benbox firmware need to be switched to GRBL first.
J Tech Photonics sells laser modules, not complete machines: what counts is the controller you mount them on.
Don't see your model?
It will probably work if your machine is a diode laser, connects over USB and its maker says it works with LaserGRBL, or with LightBurn using the "GRBL" device type. To make sure:
- Open the diagnostic, connect the machine switched on and look at "Firmware family". It is free and asks for no code.
- If in doubt, write to us at rapilaser@rapilaser.com with the brand, the model and what the diagnostic says, and we will add it to this list.
- If it works, you can request the 30-day trial license, no card.
